Analysis of Take-off Performance

Departure procedures, take-off and climb-out are among the most critical phases of flight. An appropriate analysis is inevitably complicated, and for most basic applications methods based on the lumped mass are used. Such methods are not appropriate and accurate enough, and cannot provide all the data required for a comprehensive analysis. The problem include events such as one-engineinoperative,
engine shut-down, aborted take-off, lateral control, initial climb rate, tyres loads, centre of gravity (loading) effects, and external effects (temperature, airfield altitude).
